For this edition of Miart, ABC-ARTE presents the project Trame generazionali (Generational Weavings), which interlaces the research of major Italian masters with the emerging voices of a new generation, in a dialogue that reflects the gallery’s mission: to build bridges between past and present.

At the core of the project are three central figures: Arnaldo Pomodoro, whose sculptures open space onto cosmic dimensions; Gastone Biggi, a master of perceptual variation and analytical painting; and Nanni Valentini, whose research transformed ceramics into a plastic language of radical contemporaneity.

Alongside them are two young artists: Chiara Crepaldi, who through a layered and intimate approach to painting constructs environments suspended between reality and vision; and Antonio Kuschnir, whose work explores the tensions between reality and fiction, giving rise to personal and collective cosmologies with a dreamlike resonance.

The presence of the two younger artists is not merely a generational addition, but a direct confrontation with the legacy of the masters. The intuitions of Pomodoro, Biggi, and Valentini find new resonances in the practices of Crepaldi and Kuschnir, who in turn open up unforeseen perspectives. The project thus becomes a living laboratory, where historical experience meets the urgency of the present, reaffirming ABC-ARTE’s vocation to foster dialogue between eras and languages within a vital continuum.
