“Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, everything transforms”
Chiara Crepaldi embodies this principle in her sculpture, animating iron, bronze, and clay to give life to figures and architectures that constantly shift and breathe in space.
Chiara Crepaldi (1993, Legnano, Italy) is an Italian sculptor who lives and works between Milan and France. Her artistic research explores the theme of metamorphosis, drawing inspiration from Ovidian transformations and the ability of matter to change in texture and meaning, becoming vision.
In her works, imaginary figures, towers, arches, and fossilized plants intertwine in spaces where encounters and exchanges take place, giving rise to new and unexpected possibilities. Crepaldi’s creative process is rooted in an intimate synergy between form and technique, transforming materials such as iron and bronze into poetic narratives that inhabit a vibrant present.
