About

ABC-ARTE supports artists who experiment with different languages and formats, with a predilection for gestural abstraction. Studies twentieth-century postwar international masters, and explores figures from the Neoavangardist movement whose quality invites a fresh critical reading.

In parallel to this line of action, ABC-ARTE has opened its most recent venue ABC-ARTE ONE OF in Milan to young artists from all over the world. In support of that experimental boldness that has always characterised the historical artistic avantgardes, ABC-ARTE has decided to dedicate itself to the lively expressive power of artists of the new generation. It thus hopes to make a contribution to rewriting the grammar of an unprecedented, refined and ever surprising idiom of parody in the field of contemporary art, highlighting its most material aspect.

Each project implemented (or supported in public institutions and museums) is accompanied by a publication in our book series, edited by ABC-ARTE in collaboration with the artists themselves, international critics and curators.

The traditional and historical ABC-ARTE gallery in Genoa, thanks to its position in Genoa's historical center, facing the arches of the Oriental Market, opens to the city its own vocation as a reference in the Italian contemporary art scene, creating specific actions to connect with a wider and less conventional audience.

The Milanese venue ABC-ARTE ONE OF is situated in the picturesque setting of piazza Sant’Eustorgio, near important cultural institutions such as the Museo Diocesano and the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro. The new project ONE OF indicates the plurality of experiences to which the gallery will be dedicated from now on. This involves site-specific exhibitions inside a space with renewed and unprecedented connotations.
