Matteo Negri

I am a sculpture equilibrist, hanging in the balance between content and container. My research includes the flexibile use of plastic substances, from stone to ceramic, from resin to bronze, while keeping my focus on color as an expression tool. I study to visual seduction of shapes, through the manipolation of real objects. I worked with engines, submarine mines, Lego bricks and spinning tops. These objects are different from a shape point of view, but they present playful characteristics which help me to create an imaginary and abstract world. My works include all-round sculptures, environmental installations and mural artworks.
