Antonio Kuschnir (Rio de Janeiro, 2001) began painting at the age of six while attending the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage, where he participated in his first group exhibition. Growing up surrounded by Brazil’s tropical forests, mountains, and coastline, he developed an artistic language deeply rooted in the symbolic power of nature. He ranked first in the entrance examinations for both the Art History program at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and the Painting program at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where he completed his academic training.

Since 2020, Kuschnir has built a rapidly expanding exhibition history across Brazil and Europe. In 2022, his series Choro was presented in the main exhibition hall of the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói (MAC Niterói), making him the youngest artist ever to hold a solo exhibition in the museum’s history. Since then, he has presented solo exhibitions in Brazil, Spain, Italy, and Germany, establishing an increasingly international profile.

In 2025, he completed artist residencies at the La Napoule Art Foundation (France) and CCA Andratx (Spain). In 2026, he opened major solo exhibitions at the Museu Histórico da Cidade in Rio de Janeiro, ABC-ARTE ONE OF in Milan, and WG Galeria in São Paulo, while also participating in the institutional exhibition Camadas at Espace Frans Krajcberg in Paris.

His work is included in the collections of the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR), Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói (MAC Niterói), the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and the Centro Cultural da Diversidade in São Paulo. He lives and works between Bonn and Rio de Janeiro.
