A nucleus of 93 photographs and 29 monochromes in the exhibition in the historic ABC-ARTE gallery in Genoa, with an autonomous appendix in the ABC-ARTE ONE OF gallery in Milan, will guide the visitors through a totalising survey, enhanced by the projection of a mass of multimedia material composed of rare slides and photographs. 9 Nov 2023 ABC-ARTE, starting from Thursday, November 9th, pays tribute to Tomas Rajlich (Jankov, Czech Republic, 1940), with whom the gallery has been collaborating for years and is internationally recognized as one of the most influential figures in European painting, inaugurating his first solo exhibition in the Milanese branch of the gallery. The last significant recognition in the city of Milan was carried out by the François Lambert gallery in 1974. Read more -
Opening TOMAS RAJLICH. GOLDEN TIMES
26 Oct 2023 ABC-ARTE pays tribute to Tomas Rajlich (Jankov, Czech Republic, 1940), an artist internationally acclaimed as one of the most influential figures in European painting, with whom the gallery has been collaborating for years without a break. With his monochromes, the artist established himself on the international scene, at least from the time of the memorable 1975 exhibition “Fundamental schilderkunst: Fundamental paintingin” the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. At the beginning of the following decade, Rajlich abandoned the primacy of black and white in systemic painting and opened up to the ineffable beauty of gold, the breezes of distant blue and a dull, chaste red. Paintings, Actions, Relics and Musical Scores 1962 - 2020 8 Jun 2023 From Thursday 8 June ABC-ARTE ONE OF will celebrate the concluding act of the large-scale retrospective that the gallery is dedicating to the Master Hermann Nitsch: from Genoa to Milan, for the first time an Italian gallery is presenting a comprehensive exhibition on sixty years of artistic practice, thanks to the precious collaboration with the Museo Hermann Nitsch (Naples) and curated by Flaminio Gualdoni. The performance will take place from 18:30 hrs. It will animate the public space with the battle-cry DEVI MORIRE (you must die), battle of every dissing, the apparently ferocious motto of every antagonistic conflict. Read more
